Camilla Belich to the Minister for Māori Development: On what date, if at all, did the Minister first receive advice regarding the role reductions being made as part of savings made in Budget 2026 for votes the Minister is responsible for, if any, and from whom, broken down by agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Tama Potaka: On 4 December 2025, I received briefing 73319 from Te Puni Kōkiri, titled Budget 26 - Initial advice for Vote Māori Development, which outlined forecast costs associated with role reductions undertaken as part of Budget 2026 savings.
