22378 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Were any gender impact assessments conducted before deciding to halt or withdraw from any pay equity claims?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I advised Cabinet on 5 May that the pay equity changes were intended to ensure a pay equity regime which provides a better framework for assessing whether there is sex-based undervaluation. This will benefit people who work in female-dominated occupations who face systemic sex-based undervaluation in their remuneration.
