22200 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office received, if any, during the week beginning 5 May 2025, by title and date?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery (CR) between 5 - 11 May 2025: • Opening the rebuilt Westport Wharf and Engagement session on the Emergency Management Bill Discussion Document, 7 May 2025 • Government Contribution to the Selwyn District Council and Christchurch City Council Mayoral Relief Funds, 9 May 2025. I received the following document on 8 May 2025, jointly with the Prime Minister: • North Island Weather Events: Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects. I received the following document from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on 8 May 2025: • Draft Responses for the 2025/26 Standard Estimates Questionnaire - Emergency Management and Recovery Appropriations. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA, CR and Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
