22184 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What, if any, is the Government’s plan to scale the Caulerpa response if further spread occurs, specifically to the East Cape and Coromandel regions?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Government has invested more than $24 million to respond to the exotic caulerpa incursion. Since becoming Minister for Biosecurity, I have announced two new funding injections totalling $15 million. Critically, because of this funding, we have made significant progress to develop tools to remove exotic caulerpa at scale.
