22152 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: Did Treasury, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, or the Public Service Commission advise against any element of the role reductions being made as part of savings made in Budget 2026 for votes the Minister is responsible for, if any, if so, will the Minister release that advice, broken down by agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The National Emergency Management Agency is a departmental agency hosted by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA). In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I am not the minister responsible for Vote Internal Affairs. The Minister of Internal Affairs is the responsible Minister for the Vote. I refer the member to the Minister of Internal Affairs’ response to Parliamentary Question 22258 (2026).
