22144 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Conservation: What funding, if any, has been allocated for pest management at Mt Messenger?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation does not fund any pest control at Mt Messenger, nor does it have any funding under review for that purpose. Pest management at Mt Messenger is funded by NZTA. I am further advised that for public conservation lands adjoining Mt Messenger, the Department of Conservation has allocated $161,000 funding for pest management in the 25/26 financial year. This is also my answer to written parliamentary questions 22145 (2025) and 22146 (2025).
