22132 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: What government resources, if any, have been spent in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, on a pay equity claim that will be halted, if any?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the Public Service Commission (the Commission) previously had a programme team that managed the following two pay equity claims: Public Service Administration/Clerical Claim 1 Public Service Administration/Clerical Claim 2 The programme was closed on 28 March 2024. At the time of the programme closure, there were three FTE in the team. The Commission also has provided support, advice and guidance through the Pay Equity Taskforce. The taskforce was disestablished on 30 June 2024. At the time of the disestablishment the taskforce had 5.6 FTE. As part of the Commission’s business-as-usual work, the Commission’s Workforce team continues to provide advice to and supports agencies with active pay equity claims. There is no FTE allocation to this function as it is part of the Commission’s BAU work programme.
