Francisco Hernandez to the Minister responsible for the NZSIS: What government resources, if any, have been spent in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, on a pay equity claim that will be halted, if any?

Hon Judith Collins: The GCSB and NZSIS share a number of joint enabling functions, including the People and Capability Directorate, which involves shared human resources staff. I am advised that the GCSB and NZSIS had been jointly involved in the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity claim. However, no resources had been required on this claim for over 12 months. Prior to this, three employees shared by the GCSB and NZSIS provided some Employment Relations and Human Resource advice in relation to the claim.
