21766 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Further to WPQ 19101/25 when is it proposed that the 12 new lawyer positions would be established; when is it expected that the lawyers would commence work?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that if confirmed following consultation, the proposed 12 new lawyer positions would be established soon after the final decisions document is released. Recruitment for the new positions would commence shortly thereafter. The Ministry expects that the proposed new positions would become active after the recruitment process is completed and after 11 August, when the revised structure is expected to be in place.
