21329 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: What is the total sum of public money spent, if any, on software for the minister and their staff, as at 28 May 2024?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Ministerial offices do not have individual budgets for office operating costs. Budgets for Ministerial offices are managed centrally by Ministerial Services. Core ICT network, software, and support services to Ministerial offices are provided by the Parliamentary Service on behalf of Ministerial Services. Ministerial Services pays an annual charge for ICT services. Software that is outside of the core network offerings provided by the Parliamentary Service is purchased separately by Ministerial Services. I am advised that the total spend on additional software across all Ministerial offices for FY2023/24 as at 28 May 2024 is $62,967.
