Hon Paul Goldsmith: I receive written advice on an ad hoc basis from my agencies and from interested stakeholders. Compiling the requested information across all agencies supporting me and the previous Minister would require significant effort and resource. It is not considered reasonable or an appropriate use of my officials’ time to fulfil such a request. If the member can provide more specific parameters to their question, such as a specific source of information received from, then I may be able to assist further. In my capacity as Minister for Media and Communications, the titles and dates of papers I have received from MBIE and Manatū Taonga Ministry of Culture and Heritage are proactively released on a monthly basis and are available at: https://mch.govt.nz/publications/advice-ministers & https://www.mbie.govt.nz/about/open-government-and-official-information/release-of-information/lists-of-ministerial-documents-by-portfolio/media-and-communications. Some titles may be excluded from proactive release on the basis that it is not in the public interest to release them at this time.
