Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage: What training, if any, was provided to the Minister regarding the handling of sensitive information, and did the training contain information warning against the use of personal emails in conducting work-related business?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The Cabinet Office, a business unit of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, coordinates across a range of government agencies and delivers an induction programme for Ministers upon appointment. The programme addresses key matters relating to the role of a minister including material in the Cabinet Manual covering paragraphs 2.86-2.87 of the Cabinet Manual, which is available online: Cabinet Manual 2023.
