21077 (2025). Rachel Boyack to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: Has he consulted with any livestock exporters or agricultural industry groups in the past year regarding reinstating live animal exports, and if so, with who on what dates?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I have met with various groups over the last year who have an interest in the Government’s commitment to reverse the ban on livestock exports. The Ministry for Primary Industries has also undertaken targeted consultation with a range of stakeholders to inform its initial work on considering what might be required to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare for the trade.
