21055 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Whānau Ora: What support measures, if any, will be taken to support staff affected by the redundancies of Whanau Ora Commissioning Agencies?

Hon Tama Potaka: I cannot comment on these measures. It is a matter for the current Whānau Ora commissioning agencies. The incoming Commissioning Agencies are right now establishing service provider networks before 1 July 2025 when they become responsible for commissioning Whānau Ora services. I encourage any individual or entity that currently provides Whānau Ora services to contact the incoming Commissioning Agencies immediately to signal their interest in continuing to provide those services.
