Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Infrastructure: Since 1 April 2025, what meetings have been held between Ministers, the EPA, or other agencies regarding environmental and cultural oversight under the Fast-Track regime, and what were the dates, attendees, and outcomes of these meetings?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry for the Environment has regular meetings with staff from Te Tari Whakatau and Te Puni Kokiri to inform the 'Treaty settlements and other obligations' reports prepared by the Ministry as required under section 18 of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024. Since 1 April 2025, meetings have been held with the manager and advisors at Te Tari Whakatau with responsibilities for Fast-track on 7 April, 14 April, 28 April and 5 May 2025, and with the manager and advisors at Te Puni Kokiri with responsibilities for Fast-track on 10 April and 2 May 2025. EPA have not had any meetings regarding environmental and cultural oversight under the Fast-Track regime since 1 April 2025.
