21035 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What is Oranga Tamariki's future site reimagining work?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the agency underwent a significant change process in 2024. Whilst it had been intended that this would be followed by further change work within sites, it was agreed that Oranga Tamariki staff would benefit from a period of stability. I am further advised that in early 2025 the Leadership Team commenced a programme of work, under the leadership of the Chief Social Worker, to better understand current workloads. The findings from this work will help inform the future direction of how future sites may be resourced and configured.
