20927 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Infrastructure: Does the Minister agree with the statement from a spokeswoman for Tiaki Wai chairman Will Peet that the issue of debt being unrelated to water infrastructure was not raised with him at their meeting, and if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: Will Peet, Chair of Tiaki Wai, sought a meeting with me to discuss water in Wellington. Officials from DIA and advisors briefed me and joined me for a fast and wide-ranging discussion. Reasonable people could recall and interpret this discussion differently.
