20907 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for Infrastructure: What is the total estimated capital cost of projects originally presented as potential Public-Private Partnership opportunities at the Government's March 2025 Investment Summit that are now intended to be funded directly by the Crown, if any?
Hon Chris Bishop: The three projects presented as potential PPPs opportunities at the March 2025 Investment Summit were the Justice Courthouses, Phase 1 of the Christchurch Men’s Prison Redevelopment Programme and Section 1 (Warkworth to Te Hana) of the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Northland Corridor. I expect to make decisions on Phase 1 of the Christchurch Men’s Prison Redevelopment Programme and Section 1 (Warkworth to Te Hana) of the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Northland Corridor in coming months. Budget 2026 provided $100 million of funding towards the Rotorua High and District Court and Māori Land Court buildings.
