20764 (2026). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: What oversight, if any, is planned for tracking the baseline savings proposed for the Ministry for Pacific Peoples at Budget 2026, and what planning is going into the future baseline savings in future years?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry for Pacific Peoples through its internal budget for 2026/27 will reflect the Budget 2026 baseline savings. The Ministry monitors spend through its monthly expenditure forecast activities and reporting to ensure it delivers outcomes within its Votes annual appropriated funding. For baseline savings in future years, the Ministry is yet to work through its approach to meet these future savings.
