20559 (2026). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Prime Minister: Have officials in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet had meetings with any of the defendants in the Smith v Fonterra case since July 2024, if so, what were their roles?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I am advised that the Chief Executive and members of the Policy Advisory Group (PAG) from DPMC have met with company representatives who are also defendants in the Smith v Fonterra case since July 2024 and discussed a range of issues. Discussions with PAG may have included reference to the Smith v Fonterra case.
