Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Justice: Of drivers convicted of drink driving in each of the past three financial years who were not sentenced to an alcohol interlock, how many were subsequently convicted of (a) a further drink driving offence, and (b) a driving while disqualified offence, within 12, 24, and 36 months of their original conviction?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I refer the Member to attachment 1. I am advised that data on subsequent convictions within 36 months of the original conviction cannot be fully reported, as those convicted in the most recent financial years have not yet reached a full 36 month follow-up period.
