20549 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 5385 (2026), has the consent process been updated, if not, when will it be completed by?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the consent process update is currently in progress. Revised consent forms are being finalised, with final checks underway within Oranga Tamariki. I am further advised that, in parallel, Health New Zealand is developing an informational video about the consent process, with input from Oranga Tamariki. The video is intended to be rolled out alongside the updated consent forms and guidance. I am also advised that the timing for completion is still being confirmed.
