20522 (2026). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: What is the total number of active Pacific Warden group organisations in New Zealand, broken down by region?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, the total number of active Pacific Warden group organisations broken down by regions is currently unavailable as these figures are yet to be formalised. The Ministry holds a single contract with the Auckland Pacific Wardens Charitable Trust (APWCT), which operates solely in the Auckland region. While APWCT works closely with the South Waikato Cook Island Wardens, it does not have oversight of all Pacific Warden groups nationwide.
