20436 (2026). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Prime Minister: Did the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet receive a copy of a briefing note prepared on behalf of the defendants in the Smith v Fonterra case on any date prior to May 2026, if so, when?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I am advised by officials in DPMC that there is no record of the agency receiving a copy of a briefing note prepared on behalf of the defendants in the Smith v Fonterra case.
