20412 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How, if at all, will Kāinga Ora’s proposal to restructure its maintenance services by centralising the management of maintenance requests in Manukau and Addington, Christchurch improve service delivery?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that the proposed model focuses on standardising the way they process repairs and make decisions with the aim of achieving improved consistency, better control, and further performance improvement. The proposed change builds on what is working today, but shifts to a model better suited to sustain and extend outcomes at scale, with clearer more consistent service delivery for our customers.
