20410 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Does Kāinga Ora have service contracts with maintenance service providers and if so, what Kāinga Ora employees, if any, by job title are authorised to approve work orders to obtain services from those providers?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities advises me that it has contracted five Maintenance Partners to deliver maintenance services across 11 maintenance regions. Work orders are used to initiate service requests and provide visibility of both the nature of the work completed and the costs. The primary roles authorised to create and approve work orders within the delegation framework include: • Project Coordinators and Project Managers – responsible for the delivery of Planned Programmes • Maintenance Administrators, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Team Leaders – responsible for responsive and routine maintenance All the roles above are subject to defined approval limits. Where the value of a work order exceeds these limits, approval must be escalated to the relevant management level.
