Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What discussion documents have the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, released for public consultation during the period 27 November 2023 to 28 May 2024, and on what date, if any, did the Minister’s Office receive these documents for their feedback?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that the draft document Records Disposal Schedule and Appraisal Report was released for public consultation during the period in question. This document was not provided to my office for feedback prior to being released. The proposed Fire and Emergency levy rates for the period 1 July 2026 – 30 June 2029 was released for public consultation during the period in question. The Department of Internal Affairs provided an early draft of the discussion document to me on 13 December 2023. This was later refined and provided to me on 27 February 2024.
