20280 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Associate Minister for National Security and Intelligence: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office seen about the merging of agencies as a part of the announced public sector job cuts by date and title?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The public sector transformation announced in the Minister of Finance’s speech on 19 May is included in Budget 2026. Further details of this and other Budget 2026 initiatives became public on Budget Day – 28 May 2026. The Budget will be followed by a proactive release of documents informing budget decisions, including advice related to public sector transformation.
