Lan Pham to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: Following the Associate Minister Hoggard's response 18564 (2026), in which he stated "Farmer-led catchment groups are already improving water quality", what evidence, if any, is Associate Minister Butterick aware of that illustrates this, given his responsibility for catchment groups?

Mike Butterick: Studies of farmer-led catchment groups, including evaluations of government-supported initiatives, have found that these groups have been successful in delivering collaborative approaches to implementing land use and on-farm practices linked to improved environmental outcomes, including enhanced water quality.
