20250 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: What engagement, if any, has the Minister had with the Environmental Defence Society regarding the Natural Environment Bill and Planning Bill while the Bills have been at Select Committee?

Hon Chris Bishop: I met with the Environmental Defence Society (EDS) on 20 May 2026 to discuss the Natural Environment Bill and Planning Bill. EDS also wrote to me on 2 March 2026 and 21 April 2026 regarding the Bills. Representatives from EDS were present at a meeting which I attended on 28 April 2026 between environmental non-government organisations, and other Ministers, where resource management reform was discussed.
