20212 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What discussion documents have the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, released for public consultation during the period 27 November 2023 to 28 May 2024, and on what date, if any, did the Minister’s Office receive these documents for their feedback?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade released a Background Paper for New Zealand Stakeholders on the CPTPP General Review to support public consultation on the Review process on 7 March 2024. The Minister for Trade’s Office was notified about the consultation process on 5 March 2024. No feedback on the document was sought or received from my Office. On 30 October 2023, the Ministry released a background document to support public consultation on the Review of The Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER) Plus. No feedback on the document was sought or received from my Office.
