20202 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, of the up to 50 classrooms committed to in Budget 2025 for Māori‑medium and kaupapa Māori education have been completed and are currently in progress?

Hon Erica Stanford: 37 new teaching spaces, a library, administration space and a multipurpose space (across six projects) have been committed to through Budget 25 funding. 13 of these teaching spaces are currently in progress (in construction). Three projects that will deliver the other 24 teaching spaces are in the design stage and are expected to move into construction within the next 1-4 months.
