Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: How much, if anything, did the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on flights in 2025 to date, broken down into international and domestic flights?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: In the 2024/25 financial year, to 30 April 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) spent NZ$9,345,506 on airfares. The final financial year total will be broken down into international and domestic travel in answers to Annual Review standard questions, which will be publicly available following MFAT's Annual Review hearing. In the 2024/25 financial year, to 30 April 2025, Antarctica New Zealand spent NZ$148,788 on domestic airfares, and NZ$181,758 on international airfares. In the 2024/25 financial year, to 31 March 2025, Asia New Zealand Foundation spent NZ$544,316.70 on airfares. I am advised that it is not possible to provide the airfare cost broken down by international and domestic airfares.
