20154 (2026). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for ACC: Does the ACC measure exposure or causation when pricing motorcycle levies?

Hon Scott Simpson: I am advised that ACC considers motor vehicle exposure when considering levy settings for motor vehicles. Past and projected exposure is based on the licence data received from NZTA. The exposure is calculated per year of registered exposure. For example, one vehicle registered for a full year is one unit of exposure, while a vehicle registered for half a year equates to half a unit of exposure.
