20114 (2026). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: Further to Written Question 6242 (2026), how many Immigration Compliance Officers, if any, currently hold powers relating to detention under the Immigration Act 2009, broken down by region?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised there are currently 54 in total nationally. This includes 25 in Auckland, 4 in Hamilton-Tauranga, 7 in Porirua-Napier, and 18 in Christchurch-Nelson teams.
