Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that Compliance officer core training addresses how to implement the provisions of section 328. There are training modules that Compliance officers must complete and these cover the range of core competencies for all compliance officers and this includes the use of detention. The training also provides guidance to Compliance officers on how to use their powers in the range of scenarios they are likely to encounter in their work.
