20062 (2026). Helen White to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What services or programmes, if any, were impacted by her decision on 5 May 2025 to decomission Ministry of Social Development's Sexual Violence Prevention services?

Hon Louise Upston: On 15 April 2025, I requested advice from the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) on reprioritising funding for Sexual Violence Long Term Recovery and Care and Sexual Violence Prevention services into prevention or early intervention programmes. On 4 May 2025, I agreed to decommission Sexual Violence Long Term Recovery and Care and Sexual Violence Prevention services and extend contracts for 6 months to 31 December 2025. I am advised that 13 providers are impacted by this decision. Following a further contract extension these services will be decommissioned from 30 June 2026.
