20059 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Tertiary Education: What, if anything, is the University of Waikato's intended payment rate per day to GP and primary care providers for medical student placements under its proposed medical school?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am unable to comment on this as this information is commercially sensitive and is an operational matter for the University of Waikato. For completeness, I note that the New Zealand Graduate School of Medicine is not intended to commence operation until 2029, and the University of Waikato is still working through operational details.
