19970 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Police: Have there been any instances in the last six months where a person has been arrested or picked up by Police for a breach of their bail conditions, where it was incorrectly filed, inaccurate, or unfiled paperwork that resulted in this happening, rather than an actual breach of conditions?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police’s data does not allow for the identification of cases where the recorded bail conditions are inaccurate, which has led to erroneous arrests. Each such case, if it exists, would be dealt with on a case by case basis. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 21101 (2025).
