19964 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What reports, if any, has the Minister received regarding funding gaps created by the withdrawal of US funding for joint-projects with NZ tertiary institutes?

Hon Penny Simmonds: In the Tertiary Education Commission’s (TEC) fortnightly joint report to the Ministers, I was advised of a media query regarding the University of Auckland. I am advised that the TEC held no information as it is unrelated to New Zealand government funding, so the journalist was referred to the University.
