19957 (2025). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister of Transport: Will the City Rail Link open in time for the opening on the New Zealand International Convention Centre in February 2026, if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: At this stage, the exact opening date has not yet been confirmed. Once construction is complete, the City Rail Link will undergo thorough checks and preparations to ensure it is fully operational and ready for passenger services in 2026. The City Rail Link will open when we are confident that it is safe and reliable.
