19936 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Universities: What financial delegation or decision-making authority, if any, does the Minister for Universities have in the Vote Tertiary Education?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: The list of my Ministerial responsibilities can be found at www.dpmc.govt.nz/cabinet/portfolios/universities. The Minister for Vocational Education has responsibility for Vote Tertiary Education. However, all funding decisions in the Vocational Education and Universities portfolios are worked through by both the Minister for Vocational Education and myself as the Minister for Universities.
