19923 (2024). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: Does the Minister consider the $216,000 spent on contractors advising Te Pūkenga on how to replace itself as low value spending, if not, why not?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I consider the $216,000 spent on the specialist advisors represents value for money and is appropriate given the proposal to disestablish Te Pūkenga, which generates revenue of over $1 billion each year. It is important that decisions are being informed by advice from individuals with the appropriate skills and experience. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 19924 (2024).
