19920 (2024). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: Did the Minister request that Te Pūkenga contract the contractors advising Te Pūkenga on how to replace itself, if so, on what date did she make this request?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I engaged with Te Pūkenga on the need for specialist advisors in January 2024 to work with Te Pūkenga national, regional and divisional leaders, as well as other stakeholders, to advise on the viability and shape of a future regional network of vocational education entities. No formal request to contract the specialist advisors was made.
