Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2023 in actioning the recommendation ‘Review the role of the Immunisation Advisory Centre as sole provider of authorisation services, particularly in providing equitable outcomes and their acceptance by Māori organisations’ under ‘Priority Area 2: Authorisation of childhood vaccinators’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the quarter October to December 2023 the Immunisation Advisory Centre was the sole provider of vaccinator training services. An open market procurement is planned. IMAC has engaged additional Māori advisory clinical support for their services during 2023/24.
