Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2023 in actioning the recommendation ‘Expand the centralised authorisation of vaccinators to include all vaccinators (currently only provisional vaccinators and COVID-19 Vaccinators Working Under Supervision are authorised nationally)’ under ‘Priority Area 2: Authorisation of childhood vaccinators’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the quarter October to December 2023, a project to expand centralised authorisation to Pharmacists to become authorised vaccinators commenced.
