Tangi Utikere to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: What payments, settlements, transitional support, or other financial consideration, if any, has New Zealand Post made to store owners or franchisees affected by the network changes it announced in January 2026, and what is the total value of those payments and the number of parties who have received them?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that NZ Post are offering support to retail partners, including financial support in most cases, to ensure a smooth transition. The total value of payments made to these agency partners is commercially confidential, noting that NZ Post operates as a commercial business in a competitive environment.
