Tangi Utikere to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Has the Minister for State Owned Enterprises sought, or will the Minister seek, assurance from New Zealand Post that no store owner affected by the January 2026 network changes is financially penalised, or at risk of being financially penalised, for raising concerns publicly about those changes or about New Zealand Post's conduct?

Hon Simeon Brown: I expect all State-Owned Enterprises, including New Zealand Post, to operate in a manner that upholds transparency, good faith, and respect for stakeholders. While I have not specifically sought assurances on this matter, the Government encourages open dialogue and supports the right of individuals and businesses to raise concerns without fear of financial penalty or retaliation.
