Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2023 in actioning the recommendation ‘Centralise the coordination of catch-up in the National Immunisation Programme to oversee specific goals (targets) with an equity focus, and provide communication and funding for catch-up immunisations’ under ‘Priority Area 6: Catch-up immunisations’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, work towards a centralised coordination function for immunisation catch-up was progressed through the national review of outreach immunisation services. This has mapped both the catch-up and the proactive outreach services and will be used to inform a future service model design.
