Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2023 in actioning the recommendation ‘As per the Waitangi Tribunal WAI 2575 – Health Services and Outcomes Inquiry, the Crown will actively implement and monitor a performance improvement framework focused on achieving equity’ under ‘Priority Area 10: Quality and standards for providers delivering immunisations to tamariki in New Zealand’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the quarter October to December 2023, the Immunisation Outcomes Collective met twice and the Immunisation Oversight Board met once. These committees will ultimately be able to support the development of a performance improvement framework focused on achieving equity, but no work directly on this recommendation was completed during this quarter.
